COVID-19 -- The schools shut down and went to at home on line learning in April. I went to be with the kids so Beth could continue to work. On the last day of class, the kids school had a drive-through so the kids and teachers could say good-bye for the summer. There is no telling what the summer and next school year will be like. From the way it sounds, everything will be shut down for the summer. So with the help of Maxine and Larry, we got in the back of Larry's truck and went through the line to say good bye. We ended with a family picnic at Sonic.
Our last trip to the park before they closed for COVID.
June: We had to have CJ's birthday celebration at home with just us. We still had a good time. Grandma made the cupcakes!
Vacation Bible School at home: With all the churches closed, there were no summer camps or in-person VBS programs. Thanks to the creativity of one of our churches in Ohio, Michael came over to the kids house once a week to have a Bible School lesson and activities. Yes, there was a spiritual lesson with these crazy activities!
July 4 -- We celebrated Caroline's 3rd birthday and broke quarantine to go to Maxine's for hot dogs, home made ice cream and the rest of the party!
