2023 Trip to Europe
Our 2023 trip to England and Europe was exciting and familiar at the same time. This was my second trip back overseas since returning the SC in 2019. My trip to Israel in 2019 was awesome. Flying across the Atlantic is half the time and distance as going over the Pacific, so the in-the air time wasn't bad. We both had a wonderful time seeing friends in their home countries and being in a part of this beautiful world I had not been to before (Switzerland and Austria). Michael got to continue on for another two weeks with meetings in the UK after I had to come back home.
July 1-2, Michael left England and I left Columbia to meet in Amsterdam then on to Stuttgart to be with the Gerbers and Brutzers.
July 2 - First stop: Germany. An evening with friends and a walk through their village.

July 3, we went to a monastery and the city of Tubingen. Then closed a beautiful day with a beautiful sunset from (almost) the top of a volcano chain near the Gerber's home.
July 4, we traveled by train to Switzerland. Our destination was Moosseedorf, not far from Bern.
July 5, we were taken into Bern for a quick tour and a trip to the train station to try to arrange tickets for our return to Stuttgart.
July 7, Michael and I set out on our own to a part of the Alps called Stockhorn. Though our view at the top of obstructed by clouds, it was still a wonderful experience and beautiful. While hiking is not my "thing", we did a lot of walking...and of course, we had to walk from the train station UP to the cable car station.
